Back4Sure was tested under Windows XP, Windows 7 (32/64 bit), Windows 8 (32/64 bit), Windows 10 (32/64 bit) and Windows 11. There are no special requirements, though it is recommended to have enough RAM if you plan to use the compression option.
If you plan to use Back4Sure in a fixed installation, download the file "Back4SureSetup.exe" or "Back4Sure64Setup.exe" for 64-bit operating systems, execute it and follow the instruction of the setup wizard. To run this program from a USB drive, download the zip file "Back4Sure_Portable.zip" or "Back4Sure64_Portable.zip" and unpack it to the drive.

Back4Sure uses a very simple 7Zip dll, which is derived from the console application of the original 7Zip sources. The dll is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
Be aware that the modifications made are specifically tailored for usage with Back4Sure and may not be of big use as lots of features are missing.
